Chris Petropoulos (Director)

Chris completed his Bachelor of Applied Science in Podiatry in 1989 and continued post graduate study in Exercise for Sports Science following his degree.

Chris founded Northern Podiatry in 1993 and enjoys all aspects of podiatry, but he has a strong interest and many years of experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal and biomechanical injuries.

Most recently Chris has been an invited speaker at the inaugural Foot and Ankle Conference in Athens Greece, and has become involved in the development of foot care products and orthoses.

Mark Whiteside (Director)

Mark graduated from La Trobe University in 2007 with first class honours, began working at Northern Podiatry in 2008 and has been a Director since 2016.

As well as a long history of patient care, Mark brings years of experience in clinical research and student supervision at La Trobe University.

Mark provides a high level of management for all nature of foot and lower limb conditions and has a special interest in biomechanical assessment and gait analysis.

Anthony Mignanelli

Anthony graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from La Trobe University in 2012 and has also completed a Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness in 2011 due to his interest in sports medicine.

Anthony is well versed in all aspects of podiatry but has a particular interest in using footwear, muscle strengthening, orthotics and dry needling (as required) to prevent and rehabilitate foot and lower limb injuries.

Alongside his private practice work, Anthony has spent many years within the Aged Care sector where his role includes the management and prevention of diabetes related foot conditions, wound management, assessment and treatment of arthritic and degenerative conditions, and achieving optimal mobility for the senior patient.

Milka Trifkovic

Milka joined the Northern Podiatry Team in 2018, having completed a Bachelor of Health Science/Masters of Podiatric Practice degree at La Trobe University.

Upon graduating, alongside exposure to different aspects of podiatry, Milka has developed an interest in providing holistic care through education on foot health and management for patients with chronic conditions, such as diabetes. Other interests include wound management; dermatological foot & nail conditions; paediatric conditions; as well as the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal issues.

Travis Robertson

Travis graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Clinical Myotherapy) in 2016 and began working at Northern Podiatry in 2017. Before completing his Myotherapy degree he was a professional Ballet dancer and holds a Diploma in Dance Performance.

Travis is qualified to treat a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and takes a practical and individual approach to client care. Due to his background and training, Travis has a special interest in working with dancers and in sports injury management as well as enjoying the challenge of identifying and relieving pain and dysfunction in the body.

Some of the techniques Travis uses during treatment include joint mobilisation, soft-tissue therapy, dry needling, muscle energy techniques, patient education, and prescriptive exercise.
